Letter From the President
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the official site of the Gamma Kappa chapter of Delta Gamma at UC Santa Barbara! I encourage you to use this site to gain insight of what Delta Gamma is all about and what our chapter stands for. The Gamma Kappa chapter is made up of the most talented, intelligent, and compassionate women who strive every day to be a better version of themselves.
Joining Delta Gamma is among one of the best decisions I have ever made. My expectations were to establish lifelong friendships and to be a part of an organization that would enhance my college experience. Delta Gamma has given me that, and so much more. I found my home away from home where the opportunities are endless and where I have had the chance to grow as an individual and discover what being a Delta Gamma truly means.
I have learned that being a Delta Gamma means living up to the highest ideals of character every single day. It means challenging yourself to be the best you can be along with motivating those around you to do the same. Every woman in our chapter is unique and whether socially or academically, through volunteering or personal employment, each individual lives out our Delta Gamma motto to “Do Good” in every aspect of their lives. Passionate about several different causes, each member has something special to offer this world. It amazes me how much of an impact one group of woman can have on the community and on one another.
One cause in particular brings us together as Delta Gammas. We share the passion for our Philanthropy, Service for Sight. Every year we hold three events on our campus, Desserts with DG in the fall, Anchor Slam in the winter, and Pizza for Paws in the spring. Each of these events gets the student body and the entire community involved in spreading awareness and raising money for the visually impaired. Service for Sight allows us to “Do Good” together and there is nothing more rewarding than fighting for a good cause alongside your sisters and friends.
Delta Gamma has given me friendships that will last a lifetime, the biggest support group, and a true place I can call home. I am so proud to call myself a DG and I can assure you that every member in the Gamma Kappa chapter is equally as proud to call themselves Delta Gammas. I am beyond thankful and honored to have the opportunity to lead such an exceptional group of women. It is because of the women who surround me in this chapter that I am motivated and excited to live every day to the fullest and to do so with a smile on my face.
For Hope, for Strength, for Life, and always ITB,
